Stephanie is a pastor’s wife, mom to two college girls and a son in kindergarten. She is the Director of North star Academy, an online accredited private Christian school for 4th-12th graders.
Today, Stephanie shares with us how she walked through a severe depression a few years ago and how God is faithful in our times of struggle.
She says, “God prepares the way. He knows exactly what’s going to happen, what’s in your heart and mind, and what you are going to need in the moment.”
What is unique about this episode is that Stephanie has not shared this part of her story on a podcast before. There is a lot of stigma and shame surrounding depression in the Christian community and especially as a Pastor’s wife. I’m grateful to Stephanie for being vulnerable in sharing in order to provide encouragement to us.
This is part one with Stephanie and part two will be on her podcast called The Northstar Narrative where I had the opportunity to share how faithful God is in all of our stories.
