Hey! Welcome to the Friends of a Feather podcast! I'm your host, Wren! As women, we need to build each other up, to encourage each other in our walks with Jesus. Each week, I get to chat with a friend who has a story to tell, a passion to share, or a dream she is pursuing. Be encouraged! We are all friends of a feather; let's stick together!

We have a few new people joining in the Friends of a Feather community over here, so I wanted to reair this special episode that was first brought to you in the Fall of 2019.

Colby shares her dynamic God story of needing a double lung transplant and I actually recorded with her 5 weeks after her surgery.  I'm thrilled to bringing this conversation back because it's one of my favorites.

You will be inspired, you may shed a couple of tears, and you will hear how gracious our God is in her story.

Hi friend!  Last week I loved having my husband, Jim join me on the podcast talking about things we wished we knew before we got married. It’s fun, lighthearted and he had a little bit too much fun with the sound effects. #ohyeah You can listen to it,  here

Today’s episode is with Melanie Shankle. Melanie is wife to Perry, mom of her only child, Caroline, blogger, speaker, and author.  She loves fashion, reading, watching Netflix and spends her extra time watching Caroline play Soccer.

You will hear Melanie share how she went from blogger to author on the New York Bestsellers list with her books about motherhood, marriage, and friendship.  We talk about what it looks like as a mom of an only child, what God taught her when she walked through a difficult time in her life losing one of her best friends, and about comparing ourselves to other women.  She also shares about her new book coming out called, “On the Bright Side” and her first children’s book called Piper and Mabel about her two super active yet fun dogs!

Don’t worry about grabbing a pen and a piece of paper, you can  check out the full list of links including what Melanie is eating, reading, and loving in the Show Notes at wrenrobbins.com/podcast/120

Hi friend!  Last week it was great hearing Sarah Tucker share her story with us when she walked through getting a disease called Endocarditis which caused her to have open heart surgery 10 years ago.  She shares about God’s Faithfulness as her friends and family rallied around her during a really difficult time in her life.  You can go one episode back to hear it on episode 117

Today’s episode is with my friend, Stacy Myers from the Humorous Homemaking blog. I’ve followed Stacy for years on Instagram and we had we had the best time chatting!  We talk about failures and what to do with them, Stacy encourages us how to stop walking in fear of missing God’s will, and I love how packed full this episode is with resources and the truth we can point our heart toward God’s word. Stacy shares about her recent journey of walking in food freedom.  I love how open Stacy is and so let’s get to it!  Here is my conversation with Stacy!
