Hey! Welcome to the Friends of a Feather podcast! I'm your host, Wren! As women, we need to build each other up, to encourage each other in our walks with Jesus. Each week, I get to chat with a friend who has a story to tell, a passion to share, or a dream she is pursuing. Be encouraged! We are all friends of a feather; let's stick together!

☀️Happy Friday, Friends!☀️
Today on the podcast my guest is my friend, Angie. Angie is wife to Tim of 17 years, mother to two boys, ages 13 and 9. I knew I wanted Angie to come on the podcast because I wanted you to hear her story of restoration that God did in her marriage!

During our conversation, we chat about:
🌻how Angie and her husband struggled in the early years of their marriage and how they got past it
🌻what God graciously showed her during that lonely time
🌻action steps for you to do if you are in the same boat she was in
🌻the prayers she prays for her boys
🌻her prayer box that she uses to pray with everyday.

Angie is a prayer warrior and her love for Jesus is so very evident. She is very relatable and shares her heart! You will be encouraged!💓💓💓

💚Happy Friday!!💚
Today on the podcast my guest is Jean Stockdale. Jean is a Christ follower, wife, mother, grandmother, MIL, teacher, speaker, writer, author, and friend. I was privileged to get a chance to chat with Jean this past week and I cant wait to share her story with you today.
We chat about:
🌼How Jean and her husband Craig came to know Jesus personally and started walking with him in the early part of their marriage.
🌼how she got involved teaching a women’s Moms group
🌼how Jean and Craig walked through filing for bankruptcy and ended up losing their house, land, farm, and business back in 2010
🌼the incredible goat ministry the Stockdale’s have partnered with a pastor in N. Uganda🐐
Jean gets emotional when I ask her what she is loving and y’all let me just tell you, she’s a one of a kind❤️

What I love about Jean is how she unashamedly teaches the truth of God’s word while at the same time focusing on practical application in a woman’s life. She is such an encourager and God has gifted her beautifully as an engaging Bible teacher.

Brittany shares her unique story with us today! Brittany was born profoundly deaf and when she was a young child, she received one of the first cochlear implants in Memphis, TN back in the early 80’s. We talk about what life was like for her in middle and high school, and the sweetest was when she told me the most significant words she heard at the age of four. We talk about her experience of coming to know Jesus and her work with children who are hearing impaired. We also talk about how God has moved her in different directions and how she is trusting him through it all!

Brittany is delightful and her passion is contagious!! Don’t miss this episode!!

Today, my guests on the podcast are Trisha and Julie!  They are my coworker-turned-friends and I cannot wait for you to hear their stories.  I love these special friends whom I have known for the past eleven years.  A few years ago, they found out they both had breast cancer within months of each other.  I love the support and candidness that they show during our conversation and in life.  I also love their sense of humor, too!

On this episode, we talk about where they were in their lives when they were diagnosed with breast cancer, advice they give when someone close to you is diagnosed with cancer, what they learned through each of their journeys, and a couple of funny stories mixed in there!

Thanks for listening!  Feel free to share this with a friend who is walking this same road.
